Death of Tom Doheny see more

The NARGC is saddened to hear of the passing of Tom Doheny on the 17th of September 2025.. A lifelong shooting enthusiast he was deeply  involved in his local club, and Co Laois RGC for many years. He was an officer in Co Laois RGC, where his voluntary work helped many fellow members. He was a member of the NARGC governing body for years representing his RGC and the members in Co. Laois. Tom is known the length and breath of the country from this involvement. Many county delegates sent their condolences to the NARGC on hearing this sad news. Tom was a pleasure to meet at the NARGC meetings and functions as he always had a word for everyone, and enjoyed the banter and exchanges that are so much part of the comradery and exchanges at these meetings. Tom was totally committed to gun safety, and the advice and help he gave to so many young people getting involved in gun ownership was exceptional. He always went above and beyond to ensure that when they got guns, they respected them and did everything in a very safe manner. Tom will be sadly missed. The NARGC extend their sympathy to the Doheny family, and his fellow gun club members in Mountrath Gun Club,  and Laois RGC.
