DESCRIPTION: This is both a Lantra Certified course and approved by the 
 National Parks &amp\;Wildlife Service. It affords students the opportunity
  to become skilled and knowledgeable in all aspects of Deer Management\, 
 including competently and humanely culling of Deer. This Course meets with
  the criteria required by The National Parks &amp\; Wildlife Service 
 (NPWS)\, the governmental authority in Ireland for Issuing Deer Licenses 
 on the granting of a license to first time applicants. For the Season 
 commencing the 1.9.22 and onwards \, all first time Deer License 
 applicant's need such a certificate to obtain a License from the NPWS. 
 Coillte also accept it as proof of competence for persons going onto their
  grounds\, Deer Stalking. It is a two (2) day course. Day one (1) Consists
  of a Power Point Presentation on the various different modules on all 
 aspects of Deer management\, followed by a MCQ Exam. To be successful in 
 the exam the candidate must have an 80% plus pass rate. After successfully
  completing day one students are then eligible to proceed to Day 2. Day 
 two (2) consists of practical scenarios a Deer Stalker will encounter in 
 the field\, a range test\, to ensure the students are competent to safely 
 and humanely dispatch the Deer requiring culling. Students must reach a 
 set level of competence to successfully complete this aspect of the 
 course. You will get a full itinerary for the two days posted with the 
 manual when you register. Successfully Students will be issued with a 
 certificate\, certified by Lantra. The Course costs &euro\;175\, for NARGC
  Members The Course Cost &euro\;225\, for Non Members. Course Manual When 
 you Book the Course\, the NARGC A4 size\, well produced manual will be 
 posted to the address you register when booking. ( Cost included in above 
 fees). You will need to study the Manual\, and be familiar with it in 
 advance of the Course. Rifle Test - Day 2 Students have found this aspect 
 of the course to be the more difficult / testing. The NARGC recommends 
 that you get in some practice on an approved 100 Meter Range with a deer 
 Caliber Rifle in advance of the course. Students with no Deer Caliber 
 Rifle Students can still do the course\, but they need to contact the 
 Range in advance of the course\, and have arranged to hire a Deer Caliber 
 rifle from the Range to do the test. This is an arrangement between the 
 Student and the Range\, and the NARGC have no involvement in this. The 
 Cost of this hire from the Range\, is a matter between the Student and the
  Range\, and it is in addition to the Course fees outlined above. NARGC
